The Mojave 250 gets its power from a high-output liquid-cooled 249cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine. Four valves actuated by dual overhead cams boost low-end torque while providing optimum breathing at high rpm for more power. The fuel mixture reaches the high compression combustion chamber through a 34mm semi-flat slide constant velocity carburetor. A maintenance free capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) with electronic advance supplies a hot spark to ignite the charge at the precise time regardless of engine speed.
